Canning Season...

Well amid my summer of not getting any of the projects done I that I wanted to get done this weekend has been a bit different! On Saturday we went to Ellensburg, WA to the Kittitas Co. fair and also stopped in Thorpe, WA and bought 50lbs of peaches and 50lbs of tomatoes.

Then Sunday and today we froze 24lbs of peaches and canned the other 24 in to an amazing recipe of peach lavender butter.

Sunday we canned the tomatoes in slices and in many jars of sauce.  Hopefully in one of the next couple of weekends we can put up a bunch of applesauce from our abudant apple tree!
