Carving Pumkins!

We've never carved pumpkins together! In fact, I don't think I've carved pumpkins since 2005 or 2006 at Adele and Ben's house.

Last weekend we had intended to go to a pumpkin patch and get the classic picture of a child sitting among pumpkins. Uncle Bill interrupted that plan so today we went to the grocery store and bought 3 of them for $10. When we got home we put J down for her nap and carved us up 3 orange lovelies. I come from the pumkin carving tradition of triangle eyes and buck teeth. S comes from the tradition of spooky Halloween scene etched into the great gord. We are probably leaning a little more towards triangle eyes with these guys. But it was a fun thing to do and (again a shout out to Adele) pumkin seeds are roasting away in the oven!

Tomorrow our little one will dress up and we'll go trick or treating with some friends in the neighborhood. I'll offer some commentary on that when I post the pictures!
